New Reciever Openbox f3 / Skybox f3?

Rigsby71 do you have a channel list for f3 you can post here? Tried s11 list but you have to rename folders etc.

Sorry, no channel list for me at the moment but i have noticed there is one available on this forum.

Not tried it yet though.

Thanks for the hard work put into putting this list together, which firmware did you use and has anyone managed to get wifi bridge working on any of the firmware thats available for the f3 box.

Recording on Skybox F3

Does anyone know if you can record one program and watch another on the F3 box. It seems to want to stop the recording before it will change channels.

Update on F3 Reciever

Hi Guy,

I have been using the F3 for a couple of weeks now, bought it from ebay from a reputable guy and his ad looked good and detailed.

Openbox f3 / Skybox f3 full HD reciver | eBay

For the F3, the box was setup, but i still wanted to play so i did a factory reset and did the following:

1. Using USB added the Openbox Channel List, just like a S11. Worked like a charm
2. Renamed my favoruite groups, usual way
3. Used MGCAMD and CCCAM Plugin and they worked fine
4. Used Weather plug in worked a treat.

No real issues with the box, personally speaking i think its much faster connecting to the server then the S11, loading time of the box from cold start is the same.

All i can say i dont use the new firmware dated 4-5-12 as this does support Wifi but it doesnt have any MGCAM/CCCAM plug ins

Press 6666 in network settings to bring back CCcam/mgcamd setup,this is the best firmware by a mile(3601HD CMT 12042708C5) works with wifi bridge to. Dont you think the remote is rubbish when you compare it with openbox remote, the buttons are only slightly raised.

Agree the remote is rubbish, the s11 is better, i thinks it the old remote from the s9 days.

Does anyone know how if it possible that after applying channel list and firmware, is it possible to get my favourites group back again without having to manually type them in?

You might have to do it the first time, then dump your image to usb and then will be ok, firmware still needs a lots of work.

My new F3 box has just arrived today, I've been tinkering with it for a while but it appears the display LED on the front of the unit is defective. The top row of LEDs are out on all 4 digits. Has anyone else had a problem like this? I'm wondering whether I should sent it back for a replacement or just live with it.
