Info on external hdd for openbox s11 hd?

    HI,

Am just new new to the openbox community, and I was reading up on using an external hard drive with my s11 hd. I was wanting ask a few questions.

    1. Will I be able to view another channel, whilst recording another?

    2. What format will the recording be in?

    3. Can I watch what I record on the box, on my tv like sly plus box?

    4. what kind and size of hdd external drive should I be looking for?

If you could answer the above questions I would be grateful.

    Regards

        1. Not on the Openbox
        2. Not sure, but playback on PC is not a problem.
        3. Yes you can
        4. Depends on how much you want to record. SD recordings use about 1GB per hour, HD considerably more. So even an 8GB usb stick would allow you to record a good few hours.

To record a program that hasnt started yet you would need to set a record timer on the Openbox.
