channel update

hi

if i was to update the channel list on my s11 will it delete the old channels automatically ?

i dont have the ccam line file so im not sure if a factory reset is available for me

all i really need to do is delete a channel that shouldnt be there, but the only option is to reflash a channel list

I have an s9 but i imagine its just the same. Best to do a dump of your current firmware to usb then factory reset, it should be available. Then reflash firmware and the new channel list and rescan.

Also dont you have the option of channel edit through your menu? You can delete the channel manually from there.

you could tag a skip to that service using channel edit as another option to delete(keep channel listing the same).

its actually asking for the pin/lock code when i try using menu, which when i type it in nothing happens ?l

what is wrong, im too scared to reset/firmware it again cause incase it messes up, it was installed by a installer but i cant get hold of him

I would also like to know is it possible just to upgrade the channel list via usb and not touch any other settings ?? and will all channels be in order and no need to mess with the cline ??? or do you have to do a dump a little step by step would be really appreciated

by the way my box is on the latest firmware already and is original so i dont want to mess around but just want the channels updated in a proper list thanks for any help

Always best to dump firmware and cline via usb and factory reset before upgrading so i'm told. I've heard of people bricking their box by failing to do so.
