unzip the file with winrar or such like ,, put the file on a usb stick ,, put it in the usb port back of box ,, go to menu setup upgrade it will see the file select it bang your done

I have done that but the channel list looks scattered if i put the new software or firmware.

Please if you have the new firmware and the channel list working, can you back yours up and send me the back up instead.

You can try mine in the stickes, tried it on an f3 the other day and works fine. You may have to rename the favs but thats no biggie.

If you try let me know how you get on.

Dunno what you mean... please what is the stickes? if you get it, what do you rename it to?

The red stickies, on the openbox forum if you look at the top there are some threads in red, one of them is a thread with my channel list.

By renaming I mean when you transfer the list it will show as fav 1 fav 2 etc and you will have to rename to what Ive named on the thread or a name of your choosing.

Yeah that is fine... i have got to the rename bit, but i cannot rename with my skybox f3. The fav list edit cannot do it there.
Any clue will be welcome on how to rename fav in f3.

I renamed them and was slightly different than normal openbox but without the box in front of me cant be accurate.

Think in menu you go channel list and select the first fav then right arrow and then choice comes on the middle section and down arrow to edit......... something like that. Go on have a play.

Still no joy yet... has any body rename their fav list on f3?

please give me clue... i have done everything, but can only rename the first group only. No other option to switch to other group for renaming.

Thats right, if you can rename one group then ok it or exit which will prompt the save it message and then you have to start the process again by entering the menu or channel list again.

Not as straight forward as the other openboxes but thats the way I did mine on the f3.

One by one for each fav group you are gonna have to start again. Not sure if there is another easier way other than perhaps I upload my full dump.

When I said my box I meant a box I set up the other for a m8. To get the dump off him Im gonna have to go round to his. Il give him a call tomorrow but pretty certain hes away for the weekend.

Will try my best to get it off his box.

Im glad you managed it, it saves me going round to m8`s . Did you do it similarly to way I said or different.

Maybe you can write a short tut to help others who might be struggling to rename.
