Is a Skybox S12 HD from Hong Kong a clone or original

I.e. will the altered firmware/image brick it.
It has everything for softcams/clines in it already,
Softcams worked nicely on some things, so it accepts softcams anyway.
Any tutorials on manually typing in Caids /SIDS .
Does say 06 go in the SID box.
