Openbox S11 Freezes When Recording

Hi,

I have an Openbox S11 that freezes after about 25 minutes whilst recording onto a 32Gb USB flash drive. I have changed the firmware to a fairly recent one, but the problem still persists. Do any of you good people have any suggestions as to a solution for this problem?

Have you tried recording on some other device like a usb hard disk or any other usb device.

In my experience if a usb is used continoulsy (as it will be when recording video) it may heat up and not function properly. Its not common but some usbs may behave like that.

Try using some other usb storage device and see if it still happens..!!

Thanks for the reply. I could use my USB stick on my old receiver without problems, so I'm tending to think the S11 is the problem.

when i record on my 250gb hdd portable usb connection my box reboots itself as soon as i plug it in, its ok when recording but when the hdd is not in use i have to leave it unplugged otherwise the rebooting is continiously and drives me mad. i have tried many images but have same problem.
I dont know if its a common thing with these boxes and or a setting problem/issue or what.
My box is the openbox s11 my the way
