Hi there i have set up a few Openbox s10's they have been great my problem is with the Openbox s16's Press the menu then the setting everythings looks fine but the cccam client setting is missing only getting the server setting.

I am a novice with the openbox in particular the s16 which I have just got and tested tonight.

Seems to be a few problems adding a line to the box. If you want to add a cline, open Notepad on your PC then copy and paste the line onto Notepad under "Ccccam.cfg" this will then make it readable for the s16. Drag this over to a clean usb stick (formatted - fat 32).

Put usb into s16 and goto "System Setup" and then "Cccam Server Setting" and press blue button which should be for "USB". File should load onto screen with details. "Local Network Settings" in the "System Setup" show "DHCP" as "on" and other settings identifying router gateway etc.

Turn off box and restart. Channels should clear and in "Ccccam Server Setting" the server status should read "Connected". Otherwise you have a problem with leads or double check setup to the letter.

thankyou nab1972 i have been googling it for hours ..you saved me ...i will try your method and see if it work..i do have s16 openbox...but wydvb.com don't have any s16 updates for s16..maybe its a clone..doesn't matter too late now ..i bought it..any way thanks

firmware for s16 open box

hi i am having problem to download the firmware in box.is any one got new firmware software thanx

Find firmware I use for the s16, this is on a firmware search for s16 on this site. Comes up with the euro satellite settings.

Other firmware has not worked for me and the USB seems to work only on occasions unlike the s10.

I had to manually put in the cfg.file under the "cccam server settings" from the line sent on this occasion.

s16 is a really frustrating box so far. Flicking between channels is hard work. No HD on English tv and my flimsy remote has broken already. Luckily the s10 remote can be used to operate the s16.
