These boxes are ridiculous!

I had been using a Kathi 910 to receive satelttle TV in a weak signal area, I was losing BBC on Astra 28.2 at around 2pm until 5am next day.

I thought I would try an openbox, I am not getting channels 24/7. How can the OpenBox handle weak signals when the Kathi couldn't.

I'm so impressed - if only the menus system was a little more user-friendly.

i would be checking your dish has not moved or are you on the limits of signal beam?

I am on the edge of the foot print where usually you require a 2m dish for full reception. My dish in only about 1.4m.

I have tried switching the LNB and finely adjusting the dish alignment over the years. Then I popped the OpenBox on my system and it is able to get the channels 24/7.

It must be able to handle the weaker signal I guess - something in the software perhaps?

Either way I'm not complaining
