Same thing just happened to me, previously non clone chip id.

Your box is a clone message now.

Flashed fine, then I went to install a new channel list and boom.

I had a s11 did the same to me, 10aa box. I think the cloners are cloning the genuine id's now too. that's why I went back to a s9 I knew was absolutely genuine. if it's a genuine box, this firmware runs, and a clone it doesn't. use the serial method and a clone safe firmware if this 'finds your box out'

with the s10 the plugin tuner is part of the clone detection process. If for some bizarre reason the tuner card has a bad connection, the clone detection will kick in even on a genuine s10.If you pop the tuner out,the sys info screen will show all zeroes for the id's and clone kill is soon to follow. The clone kill overwrites the 64k bootloader and the 1st 64k of app area with garbage.

I went back to the FW that was already on the box when I got it, Dave.

However, my Chip ID is 085B which is supposedly on the "white list" meaning it's supposed to be genuine.

Bizarrely mine was OK post flash... it restarted itself and I'd restored the channels/softcam.key/sats/tp's etc.

It was only when I took it out of standby over an hour later that I discovered the clone kil.

I tried this as I thought I had a problem with my previous firmware (which I didnt)...everything was fine until I rebooted a couple of times and then I got the clone box message and wouldnt boot up. The box had previously worked with non clone software.

The box now doesn't turn on. I have reflashed it which has fixed any problems in the past but still nothing. The flashing process went through all the motions and said it had been flashed successfully but still wont turn on.

Is this the end of my openbox???

Tried this out but my CCID changed from 085b ( clone safe ) to FFFF.

Didn't get the clone message and quickly changed to clone safe firmware CHDS2-11-03-25:00EBCM.

After this update my CCID changed to c2f7... curiousier and curiousier

Anyone any idea whats going on here. Did I get a dodgy box after all.

Did this on my S11 which previously said it was 085b and when i updated, it changed to ffff and I tried to update my channel list and it reset the box and came up with your box is a clone.

I turned it off by the power switch and now it wont even turn on.

Any idea on how to fix?

Quick update. I'm now on C2HS2-12-02-15_0578CMT.abs and all is good again. My CCID returned to original 085b so maybe not a clone after....

I think for anyone else trying this firmware there should be a warning if CCID changes to FFFF then go to your backup asap.

You will need to try to fix your box using RS232 update method. A quick search should give you plenty of help. Never done it myself.
