Skybox F3 HDD ?

Hi

Soz if been posted already but had a look through forum and found nowts (maybe its just me)

Anyway whats the best HDD to pair with skybox f3 (openbox) ?

USB dongle or External HDD (powered)

and has anyone found/bought/made a USB ribbon cable extension for this box ? (USB is on front under panel, kinda daft really) so an external HDD can be used and hidden ?

You would need a fast performance memory stick to be able to record HD programs, cheapos just wont keep up... External Hard Disk is best, I use a usb powered 2.5" western digital, works fine..

If it was me that bought one of these boxes that stupidly have the USB port on the front under a flap, I would buy a USB socket from Maplin and cut a whole in the side or back for it and then wire it up internally to the front socket, its only four wires, dont need a ribbon cable...
