Can I take off the Chinese 2 pin plug and replace with a UK plug?

Yes not a problem. Red or Brown to the fuse pin Blue/Black to the parallel pin. Pin at the top is for earth and will not be connected.

Hi poppyjack i don`t think you can as the skybox s12 plug is also the power adapter. I just used a 3pin to 2 pin shaver plug ?1 from tesco.

Just use another power adaptor, if you have a spare one from an old unused gadget like a router, modem, external hard disk, then that'll probably do the job if it has the right size plug on the end... Be sure the adaptor is 12v output and at least 1.5a and you'll be good to go...

also there is an adapter that can work , orelse you can cut off the plug and put on an appropriate one
