Hi DVB HD Black box udf file help!

Hi, i purchased this box from a friend and have got to grips with some or most of its features. It looks like a dreambox but its definitely not linux. it looks like ali chipset because i have a skybox f3 in the living room and the menu looks the same

also ive got no favourites and its taking me ages making my own channel list. ive got a skybox in my living room and that takes a different format channel list to this. i need a .udf channel list for this box.

    please could you help, thanks

Oh dear, in haste you have bricked it. Unless you can find out what box it actually is, you might aswell bin it...

It's a black box 500s, dreambox 500s clone. Images at worldofsat.

Hi did you manage to find a solution to this? I bricked mine , I flashed with different firmwares , one of the S9 firmware made the box boot up with the SKYBOX splash screen but it just stayed on that. Any help would be much appreciated

Why are people mixing this box with the openbox there is plenty of info stating it is a dreambox 500 clone.

can't see how, since it is a different processor and file type.
the openbox was originally billed as like a dreambox

must be talking about a different blackbox then.
I don't think they take .abs files

No it's not a dreambox clone. It's a closed source linux box that uses abs files. It looks like a clone dreambox DM500 hd but is similar to the HDTV v8 500HD box (which supports an openbox S9/10/11 etc image and channels lists)
I am trying to find the original firmware which should be in an ABS file. I tried to connect it with dreamUP to but to no avail

scouring the earth I never saw any original firmware.
I used to gather oddball firmware to try on my openbox s10.
Although that name sounds familiar. If I did have it, the firmware didn't boot on my s10.

Yes I know what you mean. i had tons of weird and wonderful firmware. But my old laptop had them all. I checked it but I must have cleared alot of crap off it. Only reason I still got it is because it has RS232 which I still need from time to time. If you do manage to find the firmware could you please PM me it or just upload it to the downloads. Would be most helpful. Thanks for looking into it guys.

the black in the name sounded familiar but going through the archives I must have been thinking of the black panther receiver instead.I never found blackbox firmware.
