Hi anyone has luck with this box my friend has one it,s bricked he has flashed it with openbox firmware i tried the net can not find any support at all

Not the one in the OP's first post that looks more like a Clone Openbox etc... although it is in a Blackbox 500s case

This box has ali m3501 chip i think it,s same as openbox s9 flashing with s9 firmware has no effect

there is no option to backup the firmware, can anyone guide and ill upload?

i need an up to date channel list too for this box any ideas?

you should be able to back up via rs232 and the loader in save mode.
Once you back it up 100% then you can post for others to study.

I seem to have bricked it too, I flashed the HDS2_OPENBOX S9(20111202).abs and now the box wont switch on. The Ethernet port at back is flashing. Any suggestions on what to do next also anyone know how to unbrick this pls.......

Also can someone please tell me what the hell this box is, I keep hearing dreambox or openbox. the menu is the same as the post on page one.
Also I need a ihmage to put on.....

it may not even be the same processor as openbox.
the openbox only had 1 usb port until the m3606 based receivers came out(s16)

sounds like a "what you see is what you get" receiver,no firmware support at all.
I could never find firmware for it.
