    can anyone help me with setting openbox s10 to a fixed sky dish

    can anyone help me with my openbox i dont seem to be able to scan for any channels not even FTA i am using a fixed sky dish for my sky+hd box the sky box works fine but the openbox doesnt seem to find any channels at all when i plug the satellite leads in the back of the open box i am living in the uk so i selected 28.2E and still no luck

    How many satellite feed leads are you plugging in the back of your Openbox?? You only need to plug in one feed...

      i have two leads only 1 plugged into the lnb in feed

        You have a channel list on it ? Select a channel, BBC1, get the signal strength meter up (info button) make a note of the strength indicated, then carefully pop the satellite feed out, look at the signal strength without the feed connected, compare to strength with feed in, if theres no difference then your box possibly has a faulty tuner...

          i am getting 70%-90% with lead in and with out lead only 43% so u think it could be the box and yeah i have a uk sky channel list on

            Well no, if the box can see a difference when the dish is connected then we can assume the tuner is working..

            So you're seeing signal strength when selecting a channel, but no video or sound, does the EPG show any info for the channel, like whats on and what its about? If yes is the epg info correct for what should be on that channel?

              no it does tell me what its about or what is on the channel i went on bbc 1 and there was no info i am thinking i have the satellite set up wrong but not sure how to make it correct i could be wrong?
