Openbox X3 AV / Scart difference

Hi

I was just looking on aliexpress at these boxes and most of the sellers have both scart and component/composite/AV versions, But ive seen a few listings that say scart for Europe and component/composite/AV for any were else outside,

Dose anyone know if the component/composite/AV will still work in the UK or is there an actuall reason it would not work as id much rather have that one so i can use the component (red, green & blue) as i think scart quality is crap,

After xmas ill be using HDMI so ultimately its not a major problem but till then id rather use component for Superior quality

Scart is better than Composite, and of course Component is better than Scart. Scart is only SD, Component is an analog HD signal, but has your TV got component inputs?.. But then if you have a HD telly you'd be better using HDMI..

Whatever box you buy, any outputs on it will be available to use, they dont disable/disconnect them depending which country they ship to...

Sorry i should of explained more down stairs we have a HD TV with HDMI but currently there no satellite to that TV we've had VM cable down there for years so never put antenna/sat to that TV, Up stairs is were the sat cable is we've got a ED TV with component so it can show better quality than scart but obviously not HD i'm going to have a sat feed fitted down to the living room and move the box down there but it wont be for a few months so id rather have the competent one,

Its just the sellers make it out that the component one wont work in UK/Europe so i wanted to double make sure to double confirm its the bottom box on this pic i want

Im thinking about just spending the extra 8 quid and getting one off ebay it will come in 2 days apposed to up to 15 but i cant seam to find the component one on UK Ebay only scart

ok thanks i always thought the skyboxes were clones of open boxes thats why i was looking at the openbox

ill get a skybox F3 then there the same price anyway

Good man, and you got it nice and cheap.... It says its got channel list on it so you might be good to go straight out of the box... Now you'll have to start digging around to find out about the non-discussable seedy dirty strange special handshake underworld of sealion servers.. ;-)

ya know i must be blind haha i did not see that about channel list i spent too much time looking at the pics to make sure it had the component i wanted haha

ive found one of those that looks ok ill PM u the details dont wanna post ought encase breaking the rules haha

the box came today (free next day del cant go wrong) im verry impressed with this box the HD uality is fantastic i think BBC1 HD looks better on this box than on my sky HD box (used for freesat) defo worth the money to get recording back and other things
