Hi I just bought a skybox f3 with a wifi dongle but the dongle does not seem to be read when inserted into the USB I have activated the wifi setting but when inserted It says wifi but device not found please plug in does anyone have an idea to fix this thanks for any advice.

Which type did you buy
Ive found a lot of the cheaper ones with the aerials that aint the official ones are faulty before you even get them out of packet.
Ive sent dozens of em back over last few mths -
i have the same problem, with a wifi antena and a f3 skybox, my antenna is the little one with a n in grey inside a red squard, and wifi legend, i get into the network setting, when i first plug the antenna my skybox didt get the antenna plug in menssage, y plug out and plug in the antenna several times and i get the messagen plug in, the get the middle menu active, wifi setting or something like that, but when i got to scan for a ap, it dont work, i wait like 10 min and nothing came up. no a single network, i dont know what happend if the box have somenthing wrong or the antenna. i dont understan these box. so cheap and complicate. if someone can help us. to get it work i will be very greceful. thx and sorry for my english.Comment

Dont the F3's only take the official wi-fi dongle due to the drivers or can you use any by the sounds of it you cant

That's not quite correct. But wired or homeplug is preferred.
