SKYBOX M3 HD USB PVR No power

I bought this box a few days ago and set it all up fine. But after a minutes the box lost power.

Heres what I've tested to see what the problem might be:

Changed power cable to a known working one.

Borrowed a box from a mate to see if its the box that is knackered.

It is definitely the box.

So I was wondering if there is a way to recover this dead box.
I've had a look at the this thread

But I wanna make sure its the right software before I start.

EDIT: Will I lose my subscription if I try to reboot the box?

If you tried a different known working power adaptor then sure it must be the box at fault.. If you manage to flash it will be like its been factory restored, all settings will be reset (your subscription will be gone)..

You could try flashing it, but if that fails I guess you could send it back to your supplier as you only bought it few days ago, but even if you manage to get it working again you'll be needing to speak to your supplier anyway regarding the TV sub...

My supplier has gone on holiday for a few weeks! Thats why I'm trying to get it up and running on my own. I think I'll leave it till he comes back as I dont wanna risk making it worse. Cheers for the help.
