Sky Box F3 remove [Rec] sign on screen

Is there anyway to remove the Rec sign off screen when recording on the skybox f3?

I had some s10 firmware that did that but didn't like it.
No way to tell the receiver was really recording or if it burped and stopped,or I would forget I was recording and would change channels or sats.

On my skybox f3 i cant change channels when recording well cant pretty much do anything unless stop recording
