Is the firmware for a Skybox F3 the same as for a Skybox M3

Hi guys
From a newbie.

Just to ask, when I read about firmware, fixes and downloads for the Skybox F3 are they for the Skybox M3 as well.

My brother who cant use computers has just got a Skybox M3 and I am trying to get up to scratch with all the postings on this.

Basically if he ever needs to would I be able to download F3 stuff onto his M3 box.
And should I go to the Skybox F3 forums for info regarding his M3 box?

We are both from the old cable Eurovox forums of three years ago and trying to learn again.

They both use exactly the same firmware... They are practically identical in functionality, the only difference being their external appearance..

Just been told I am getting a Skybox M3 tomorrow.
My brother said his is working perfectly right now.
But he only got his weeks back.

Supplier is connecting it up for me and I will have some questions for him at the ready.

I would add openbox x3 ahead of both. same as skybox f3 but has scart instead of composite, also menu looks alot neater.

remote also better in my opinion.

Sorry if I am asking question on your post instead of making a new thread. I see that this question relates to me so I thought just I could ask here anyways.

I live in Canada and I wonder is Skybox F or Series will work here with my iks server?
