strange openbox problem

Hi guys bit of advice please bought 4 openbox's for family all working as should except in my dad's house problem is remote stops working it will work if there's no picture but won't if it's on a channel or in menu tried all boxes I've bought in his house all have same problem tried everything I can think of any ideas ???

fiitc m8 try in settings setup output scart or hdmi you might need to update the filmware ??

Does the box in his house work elsewhere with remote? Have you checked dish lnb and cable connections are okay? Is there anything that's transmitting close by that could interefere with remote?

Tried two different firmware mate still same problem I get picture and sound (through hdmi) I can still control the box from front panel just not remote

Box works in mine no problem will see if anything's interfering lnb seems fine and channels work if controled by front panel mate

have u tried other remotes ?? might be a faulty ir sensor in the box , swap front panels to see is it the sensor

Tried different remote mate thing is I had the box in mine for 24hrs and was working fine I'm thinking there must be interference somewhere

Looks like it was interference I think it was the timer switch been alright since I turned that off

and i had a 500s remote would work no bother in my house , then gave it to my sis rear projected tv took me 3 months to figure out twas the tv glad your sorted m8
