Quick Questions on F3

Been reading new posts. Been looking over old posts.

Ive downloaded a few ABS and DBS files etc and Ive read a few tutes from here. Seems simple enough.

My F3 box came today. I was wondering.......Since my Dads box has a valid sub added and its working.............

Wouldnt it be a case of me reading the files from his "working" box and adding them to mines? Or have I just answered my own Q .

Anyhoo. What I am saying is, if I have answered my own Q, what tools do I use to backup my box firmware and extract the files from my Dads in order to put them on mines?

Or do I simply use a Fat32 formatted USB stick to do this?

If by 'valid sub' you mean a card share/payserver, and you're intending using his lines to clear channels on your box, then no.

Servers will likely be running s/w that detects mutiple logins on the same line and will automatically ban you

I tried it anyways and currently on my f3 there are some channels working like $Comedy Central+, Docus, and Crime Inves and a few others with $.

The ones that are not working are saying NO SIGNAL.

So somethings amiss......Any ideas as to my next move..?

well you now have all the settings in place from what you have done so far, next sep is to get your own sub "line".

Once you get that that, then pop in your usb again, on the box go to menu and dump to usb...dump the cccam.cfg

usb to pc then open the cccam.cfg file using notepad.

delete the line in there and copy and paste your new line and save.

pop usb back into the box and upload the ccam.cfg, go to manage config and make sure its got an active beside it.

If only it was that easy

It looked that way.

After footering with manual transponder freq settings I got a result the same day. ALL CHs on and descrambled.

Or at least it appeared to be so, as all the channels are currently working.......BUT.....Wait for it..............

They are ALL working until my Dad powers his stb on in the morning and it says scrambled. As soon as I power mine of in my house or remove the router line his becomes unscrambled\decrypted, and mines is scrambled and vice versa. The person out of us who has their stb powered on 1st seems to get 1st pref over being "served". As its his stb, I only use it when he texts me that hes going out or not using his. (Not a good scenario)

This must mean we have the same BoxID? I am guessing if I change the BoxID I may get a better result. It appears I am getting an anon login. (I think I have cloned his to mines) Grrrrrr.......

The BoxID was all zer0s last time I looked.

Cheers for this. I am still working out how to get the valid sub to mines (Obviously I have a sub as I can decrypt and view).....With someones help from here or somewhere I will get there. Preferably with a little nudge in the right direction. HINT HINT

Not bad for never having used an F3 on Sat to havig itup and running the same day, and a nice wee bit of knowledge gained through posting and reading on here.

I take it this SUB is the part we are NOT allowed to openly discuss.........

Makes this all the more mysterious and adventurous...

channel list makes no diffence, all it does is put your channels in suitable order.

Never heard of box id problems before, many of us download firmware and channel lists directly copied from other users boxes so if it was box id that you talk about then it would be well known issue.

The BoxID was 0000000 or something; the username was the same (and its a unique username at that) Oh and my Dads was exactly the same. I understand there are no multiple logins allowed to be "served".........

But hey at least my box wasnt auto banned or permanently banned...

Read shadys guide. Have all tutes stored. Tutes are MUST in this game....

Im one step away from being there....Google will most likely take me in the longest direction, but its an option I have to explore.

Weird that forums cant discuss this issue, as its discussed elsewhere.....Obviously..... Free speech and all that........

PS, is there any software to edit box or its boot settings, ip settings etc live on a PC, so as to flash the stb\ram? That would be a great starter..

Update: Sorted folks.

Edited the Ccam.cfg with notepad and of course the appropriate details.
