Doug's openbox / skybox channel list

i have always used AJ's and i continue to recommend his.

i created these just for my own personal tastes.....for instance, i like to have the SD version of sky news listed too, as well as SD versions of channel 5, ITV 2, 3, 4 etc.
those channels are all paid channels in their HD form, and only freeview as SD
ALL channels are listed as HD but also have a corresponding SD version of each HD channel listed too.

if a line ever went down, it meant that channels like sky news could continue to be watched...AJ's list, as superb as i think it is, doesn't have the likes of sky news SD listed.


also...this list has been tested on a skybox M3 and also an openbox S11.

it should have every channel working as i type...all frequencies are changed to current if needed to be changed (recent changed were made to the likes of BBC 3 + 4 and cbeebies / citv and some others) and new channels have been added ('diverse' being the newest example)

i am not sure if this is useful to anyone, or if anyone feels that SD versions of the channels are important like i do...but if anyone wants to try them...

i have updated the links above as i found some adult freeview channels in the all satellite list and also move itv1 hd above itv1 sd....and some other minor changes.

apologies if anyone trying these has to install twice.

I like what you have done but as you say it is a personal list. Would be great if you could have all the AJ channels plus an extra favourite with the mix of HD & SD in order, including ch 5.

Minor changes inc addition of BBC northern ireland HD to irish channels and 'Babe Guide' has been removed as it is no longer broadcasting from last night.

again...i recommend AJ's list and always have done...this list is only made to have SD versions of channels available as well as HD for reasons explained in the first post.

couple of people asking how to update channel lists on an openbox.

First download the zipped file of you choice and take the file inside it, which will be named TP_PROG.dbs and put it on to a usb pen drive...not into a folder, directly on to the drive.

Then connect the pen drive to the openbox and when it says usb disk connected, do as follows..

Press Menu on remote.
select tools
then select 'Upgrade by USB'
change where it says 'Upgrade Mode' to 'Misc Files'
then select 'Select & Upgrade'
select OK on TP_PROG.dbs (this should put a tick beside it)
press the yellow button on the remote.

now you must exit from the menu and reboot the box.

channel list will not work until box has been restarted.

Do you intend to keep list 'fairly' up to date Doug? Like you AJs list is great, but I like SD channels as a second choice on 'bad' days .
