Skybox F3 not loading and freezing

I have purchased a 2nd F3 to use in a different room (with another gift/line purchased to run on it) The box seems to freeze on the load sequence and the odd time it does load it freezes on the channel. Nothing you can do other than switch the power off and reboot. I'm sending back for a replacement, just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience with an F3?

Might need a different software, but you say it loads sometimes & then freezes.

Before sending it back, have you considered actually trying the box in the main room on it's own 1st ?

At least you can eliminate if it's the box or not but it's worth a try & with a different software installed.

I see & hear too many people saying about boxes freezing all the time without actually thinking it through & trying to narrow down the cause by trying differnet set ups.

It's all too easy to blame the box straight away.

99% of the time it's not the box at fault but the way they are installed & set up.
Just try swapping the boxes over & trying them one at a time before sending it back to where you got them, also try another software.

It may save you time & money & you may start to learn a little about how this all works.

Hi Rigsby, I did try the box in the main room where I have an F3 running already and still had the same issues. I flashed the faulty box with the firmware I have on my main box filename - 3601HD_wifi_0512. Updated to AJ's latest channel list but still no joy. Box seems to get stuck most times in the load sequence, when it reaches L100 and skybox TM comes on screen it just freezes up. I do believe its a dodgy box, just keen to know if its an issue anyone else has had.

Ok, doesn't sound too good that box then.

What about trying another software as a last resort ?

What you could try is factory reset of the box ,then add channel list and any 'gift' you may have, if it works, then if you wish update it's firmware.I'd guess the firmware you're using has become corrupted in some way,so a newer one may help if you take this road
