openbox s9 remove passcode

i bought a second hand openbox s9 it has a passcode on it i tried all usual 0000 to 9999 plus various others no luck there are some methods listed for s10 box on this form will that work on this box i know i could always reflash it but would like to keep settings and update some channel listings - thanks

backup everything and reflash,that is the only way around it.I could never find a master password.
Depending on the current rev you may have to do a full backup via rs232 to preserve any cccam info.
