    Whats the best option?

hi, just wondering which would be better, av senders or an rf modulator, so i can watch tv in another room from my skybox f3.

    thanks

AV sender should provide better picture quality and will allow for remote control.. Be sure to spend a bit more on a 5.8Ghz model, as the cheapo 2.4Ghz models suffer badly from interference...

But, consider the cost of a second Skybox vs AV Sender, in some cases it makes more sense to just buy another Skybox... You could use the same share line in both, so long as you dont have both on at the same time...

il probably have both on at the same time so not really an option unfortunately, can you recommend any rf modulators, or explain how i even hook one up.

      thanks

Nah, I cant recommend any RF modulators, simply because in my opinion they would be shyte for the job...

If you want to watch the output from one box on two TV's at the same time then I suggest ..

Cheapo Easy Option = Wireless 2.4Ghz AV Sender
Better Easy Option = Wireless 5.8Ghz AV Sender
Easiest Better Picture Quality option = HDMI Splitter & Wireless HDMI AV Sender
Very Best HD Quality Option = HDMI Splitter & Long HDMI Cable & Wireless IR Repeater

You dont need a Pair of AV senders, a wireless AV sender kit comes with Transmitter and its receiver.. The Composite Output & Audio Outputs (the Yellow, Red & White RCA Phono sockets) on the Skybox would connect to the transmitter. The only other thing you might need is an RCA/Phono Scart Adaptor as there's no scart output on the Skybox, if you need to buy one they're only a quid on amazon..

im running my openbox on a sender at the moment. remote everything working fine. but for what you will pay for a decent sender you can get a f3 with wifi for around the same price, even if you did not have a sat feed to the room its only about ?20 to get on fitted and you can different channels record ect.
as pointed out by nibblitz looks a better option

You should have the Transmitter hooked up to the Skybox, and the receiver going into your TV, and on TV you need to select the appropriate input souce (AV input selection) for where your AV receiver is connected... Have you done it like this?

the setting in the box is for hdmi and has to be changed in the setup section but you will have to change it on a hdmi telly m8

sorry read it wrong my apologies

Is AV2 for the socket you're plugged into? Have you tried in AV1?...
