Skybox f3

Hi everyone, I am a newbie. I am thinking of buying a skybox f3 shortly. I have a broadband connection and a sky dish but my sky subscription has run out.
Can someone tell me what I need to do to be able to receive satellite channels when I purchase the skybox f3 ?
Will I receive satellite channels when I connect an ethernet cable to the skybox f3 from my router and also connect the cable at the back of my sky box to the back of the skybox f3?
Is it plug and play or there are somethings I need to do to be able to receive satellite channels?
Pardon my many explanations as I have been doing some researches on this but not getting my luck
I will be very grateful.

Connect the box to your Sky dish and scan for channels, then watch TV. You'll get all the "Free to Air" channels just the same as you'll get on your SkyTV digibox with no subscription, no internet connection required...

if your purchasing the f3 box with a pre-loaded free gift simply connect to dish and to router via ethernet for best results, switch on scan for channels, and away you go......
