How to add Satellite List to F3

I only have Sky 28.2 in my list of satellites, how can I add all the ones that came with my Skybox F3... which have somehow disappeared.
I'm using the excellent AJ list, does the tp_prog file also contain all the satellites?

Just did some experimenting and discovered that re-installing the original firmware (latest) also installs the full satellite list.
I had saved my favourite list (TP_Prog file) so I re-installed that and now only Sky 28.2 is in the list. Which brings me back to my original question, except I would also like to know how to combine use of the AJ TP_Prog file.

Why do you want other satellites in your satellite list? In one of your other threads you said you dont have a motorised dish. Do you have other LNB's or Dishes aligned for other satellites? If you dont then you are not going to get other satellites, so need for them to be in the Sat list...

If you want other satellites in your satellite list then its a real simple job to manually add the position into the satellite list, you put the position in the sky its at (like 19.2e, 0.5w) and give it a name (like Astra1, Thor) then adjust the LNB and Diseqc/Motor settings appropriate to what kit you have, and then blind scan, transponders are found and channels added...

Hi I had the same issue with my new F3 box, it came with all the satellite list preloaded, flashed the new youtube firmware, and noticed while I get the hidden menu we all need my satellite list vanished !

You can goto satellite list and still Add (green button) and type in sky as the name and then 28.55?E as Longitude and then click add, then run a full blind scan and it will pick up the channels.

        check here:

        Satellite directory - KingOfSat

shows list of sats/longs required info to add.

I think speaking from a newbie, it would have been nice if someone in the knowhow to upload a full satellite list

Also would have been nice to have a more extended channel list with say a 28e/13e/euro + and not just 28 sats

Wish I was more in the know but im still new to this box and setting it up even !

            Help with F3/F5

            Hi,

I am new to the site and just wanted a few bits of info if anyone can help me. I have a Skybox F3 and it's working great. I only have 1 satellite listed in my satellite list which is sky.

I have created a full channel list for my own needs. In OTT OCD order!

I have a standard Sky mini-dish. Can I receive anything else other than sky or could this only be attained if I have a motorised dish?

If I can perhaps get other satellites then how do I add them to my F3?

Also is it possible to access the F3 my web browser using some kind of software? My box is hard wired to router and not via Wifi.

Apologies for the noob questions but if someone can advise me then I would be grateful.

With a sky mini dish all you will be able to get Astra 28.2e and yes would be able to get a lot more with a motorised dish and it is fairly easy to add satellites to your list eg if you want to add Astra 19.2e you would go to your satellite list and choose add option then fill in the boxes the name and position, the position 19.2e is more important than the name. The list of satellites and their position you can get from here European satellites.

I have seen others with a zone 1 S l y dish add another LNB to get 19.2e. It's a bit of a bodge because the LNB's have to be so close together that there is no room for a bracket, they are just taped together!

There's a thread about it here:-

                    Oops! Sorry digicon.

Here's a picture of someone's "gaffa taped" setup for 19.2e.
