go into your stb and make sure dchp is ticked/activated then re-boot the stb and router for good measure. its considered good manners to say hello in the intro section before asking for help, regards mdt

My apologies for not touching base in the introduction section before posting.
I felt sure I had already done that but it was probably on another site.
Thank you for the info. Will try that.
I have trawled the open box forum with no luck, however could the stb be IP address sensitive and the replacement router IP address needs to be entered on the setup section

no idea about openboxes per se
but yes, routers can have different lan addresses, so you can check this using ipconfig or similar on your pc or laptop
find out what the router host ip address is first, and then what your pc or laptop is, and the range it uses too
your openbox, and any other box using lan addressing, needs its own unique ip address from the router, or a fixed ip address telling the router what it is using
if your openbox has dhcp enabled it should have been assigned its own ip lan address by the router, same as your pc or laptop or any other ethernet cabled device
so ensure it is using a valid ip address according to the new router`s spec, which may have a different address setup and distribution than the old router used

you could try entering a fixed ip making sure you know there are no ip clashes and make sure your camd is set up correctly but usually setting the box to dchp and re-booting works on all ip based stb,s. are you certain that the provider who gave you the sea-lion is online? regards mdt
