Skybox F3 info

Hello guys just ordered a Skybox F3. I dont think its gonna come with a wifi adaptor but I would prefer to connect by wifi as I dont wanna run a long ethernet cable.

Could you guys reccomend the best solution i.e. the best wifi adapter or other mechanism to get this going in the cheapest way possible. I do not think I will be receiving a wifi adapter with my Skybox so I will need to buy one. Which one is the best and if I dont use wifi then what is the next cheapest solution? I do not wanna spend too much money.

Wifi is crap with the F3 usb antenna....badly made piece of kit.
Bought one for the crack and have 100meg BB and a wireless N dual band router and the F3 was in the next room shaking like a shittin dog.....very bad over wifi.
Better off with ethernet cable.
BTW I sold the box and wifi for 50 euro 2 weeks later.
Get yerself a Vu or a decent DM linux box and avoid the cheapo shite if you can.

if moneys tight m8 they do work i've seen a few with no issues each to there own i have two or 3 spare here free of charge any one wants to try them just pay postage , i bought 10 for 20 yo yos

Don't you just love replies like Freck's. just because you have 100MB connection and a wireless N router what difference is that going to make. I also have the F3 with the small usb wireless connection in the bedroom and the router downstairs and it works perfectly.

The F3 is a good budget box and works fine with the right firmware and server connection,so ignore Freck's comment, can't see why people like that post.

What's the differance between openbox x3 and skybox f3. Is one more reliable than other?

Is one morelikely to be a clone?

I have a f3 first box and i love it yes i have a few problems now and again but hey nothings perfect picture is good HD is brill and sound is good.
I use cable instead of wifi allways prefer this even for the laptop.
F3 is easy to use for me being a newbie and don't cost a lot.
If you don't fancy running a long cable in doors what about running it on the outside then in the windows you need it and pin it to the wall just an idea.

The one mtv1 has linked to works just fine, I did one for a cousin of mine using that about 3 weeks ago with no complaints.

Connected 1st time no bother.

ive tried 3 boxes and cant get 2 to connect ant the other cant even find the wifi which is about 30 meters away and 3 brick walls so gave up and just used ethernet cables

I have skybox F3. I can't decide between the wifi USB antenna or just a USB without the antenna. Does anyone know which one is better and has more signal strength?
