Was wondering if I can use more than 1 server/line in a skybox F3? Currently have a mgcamd/newcamd line but the server isnt great to be honest, lots of glitching & scrambling and a total shut down for almost a week recently. Was thinking of getting another line to run as back up, will this create problems? How does the box decide which line to use? if line one is scrambled does it then try and use line 2? Cheers for any advice.

WHEN it works. Would you put up with a car that was great when it worked? You have a crap line and instead of replacing it with a line that works, you want a good line for back up when the crap line messes up? The fact is that what you propose will work, but WHY do you want it to?

Well, the first line I have isn't great, who's to say the next line I get is any better? Im quite new to this and im sure there are great servers out there that i havent found yet...my thinking is that the chances of two lines having issues at the same time is slim and I get an uninterrupted service but will the box know which line to use?Comment

It won't be uninterrupted . There will be a noticeable gap between line one crapping out and line two kicking in.

I was also wondering how it worked when you have more than 1 line in the box.
So, does it use the first line in the list, and only switch to the next one if it doesn't get a response from the first? Does it then carry on using the second line until that one doesn't respond, then toggle back to the first?Comment

No M8, Im not "Still on about this" I think other people who may have problems are looking for the same advice as I asked, bumping this thread up again.
Just in case anyone is interested, I went ahead and found another server line and added it to my skybox F3, so i now have two lines running, since doing this ive had ZERO downtime and virtually no glitching, freezing or scrambling, IMO it has worked incredibly well for me to get a second line, I have no idea which line the box uses but my viewing quality now is exceptional. My advice for what its worth is if your having trouble with your current line then go ahead and get a back up line, not gonna cost a fortune and if one server is having issues the chances are the other server wont be.Comment
