Skybox M3 newbie (please go easy on me)

Hi There,

Looking for help to set up a Skybox M3. Could do with a step by step idiots guide. Any help/ advice is fully appreciated. I want to connect it to my old sky mini dish. Would this work also?

Isn't the M3 the same as the F3 but in a smaller box? also it has the USB port on the back whilst the F3 is on the front, but apart from that I think they are the same and take the same firmware as well?

Yes it is the same I am sure as the F3.

yes they are the same, just in different cases.

Just look in the stickies for openbox set up guide, its close enough to a f3, i set mine up no problem using it.

Hi There,

I have uploaded the firmware but now only can see sky uk satelite. How do I get Astra or hotbird?

You can manually add them into your satellite list, but you wont get anything more than 28.2e Sky UK, unless you go outside and manually swing your sky mini dish around to point at other satellites...
