Looking for some adviceon skybox m3

Hello, firstly please excuse my ignorance. I have done a little reading but am totally confused by it all. (sorry)

In a nutshell i have just cancelled sky after 3 years of them constantly dropping my internet connection and a month of hell where i ended up worse of than when i started.

So i've decided it would be a good idea to grab a couple of skybox m3's. I am however totally confused as to what actually needs to be done to them to watch sky tv.

If anyone could please help me, my questions are....

    1. Do i require a good internet connection?, as i am constantly downloading stuff. Taking up all available bandwith.

    2. Do i require a subscription and if so, who do i pay that to as i have seen people selling them with 12 months subscription?

    3. Is there another box i could buy which would make thing's alot easier? I dont mind paying out a one off if that meant being able to watch sky tv with a nice listings guide and minimal effort.

    Really appreciate any help.

    Thank you.

You dont need internet at all if just viewing free channels, viewing other channels will use miniscule amount of internet bandwith, even a dialup connection would be fast enough..

Cant talk about that sort of thing here, you'll have to Google

There's lots of different boxes you could buy, none will be as simple to use as a proper SkyTV digi box... You wont get a nice listings (EPG) with a Skybox/Openbox, you need to be looking at spending at least twice as much for a box with that sort of capability..
