Openbox S12 Dies ONLY on HD Channels

I have an openbox S12. When I turn it to any HD channel the box freezes and dies. Remote wont work and I have to turn it off at the wall for it to reboot. It is working fine on all SD channels, its just the HD channels that cause this problem. I have tried various firmware and channel lists but its still the same. Has anyone came across this problem or maybe have an idea how to cure it?
Or does anyone know where I could get an SD only channel list?
    Many Thanks

Looks like you need to check your LNB your high definition only works on good signal.

Tools owned: Hammer, Chisel, Crowbar, Punch, Chainsaw, Cutter and Brain!!!

Did you know People will question all the good things they hear about you but believe all the bad without a second thought.

I have tried box on another dish/lnb and its still the same. My F3 box and blade both work fine on all channels, so I think my signal is ok. I'm sure there must be a simple explanation but I feel I have tried everything.

          hd fix

this problem i have found is normally down to ..octo lnbs..old lnds or a long run of rg6 cable..i have fixed a few of these now. the old lnb issue..replace lnb with a new quad they are pennies to buy..the octo lnb and long cable fix is a little adapter made using 2 f type plugs a double male f type joiner and a small piece of coax cable with a voltage correcting capacitor soldered in line...50 for about 3 quid..bright components ebay.co.uk item number D-A-IN4001...hope this helps allways fixed the ones ive come accross

Thanks for the reply. Its a quad lnb I have at the minute so I have ordered the capacitors and will give it a go at making the adapter. Where should I put the capacitor? Near the box, Midway box to lnb or close to lnb?
            Thanks

Getting technical for me now, as I mention if its not LNB your tuner naked mate?.

Received the capacitors today, made up a cable but still no difference. It seems its not even all the HD channels, just a few of them that reboot the box. Is it looking like the tuner?? This is a new box I have had laying around for a good few months so I dont think it was ever going right. Its not about the value of the box, would just like to get to the bottom of this as it seems as if its something simple!!
