They are only a few $ more from China, so should be about ?5 extra at retail.

Biggest advantage I see is the USB at the rear. They do work with HD channels, the firmware is identical to the F4 and almost identical to the F3.

I think that problem is the company's copyrights, I have OpenBox S10, SkyBox S12 and both have problems with the RControl, I hope they fix this soon.......................

but surely this uses your one and only available usb port , if you frequently record you are compromisd

buy a powered usb hub or one of those usb plugs you charge your phone with and power it from that instead, all it needs is power

The F5 has arrived early

It's bigger than I first thought, just a little bigger than the Eurovox EX1100 and is basically a F4 without VFD - that's the firmware to load. It's set to GPRS by default but doesn't appear to have GPRS.

It does have the scart as mentioned but no Component. There is a card reader in the side. The separate PSU needs a UK adapter..

It works just like the F3/F4 and the GUI is exactly the same.

I have the new f5 coming this week hope its set up to plug and play no idea what i am doing convert from cable as thats gone pear shaped hope this lasts longer. Whats the best software patch for it?

set up 1 of these for a mate, im having problems on certain frequencies all the mtv channels have 5% but when i change the lnb freq in antenna setup to 5500 it works but then the rest of the channels HD wont work as there on universal 9600-10600.

anyone any solutions or is it a dodgy tuner..

sorry not been intouch with this stuff for a long time but these boxes do they run without card and can you get all channels, i did have the virmin box years ago

westy,, you need to do some reading mate... these boxes dont give you all the premium channels u have to sub someone for them...
