Your SkyTV digibox has an RF Modulator inside it, its this RF output you are using to distribute around your house. Your F3 doesnt have an RF output, it has no RF Modulator... The only video outputs your F3 has are HDMI, Component & Composite..

So what signal is coming out of the loop, could i not connect the output from the f3 to the input on the sky box and switch between the 2?

The Satellite signal from your Dish is coming from the "Loop" output, its not a modulated analog TV signal, nor is it a video output..

so i should be able to connect this loop to another box and this would allow that box to pickup the satellite signal?

In a way yes, but its not as ususable as having seperate feeds from the dish to individual boxes.. Remember though, the Loop out signal is just satellite signal, its not unscrambled channels or anything... I aint going to go into explaining why the Loop out to another satellite box is a crap idea, just believe me when I say it aint worth bothering.. If you want sat boxes in other rooms then, for the low cost of a multi output LNB and lengths of coax, seperate feeds from the dish to each room is the way to go...

The loop out is only live when the box is in standby, so you couldn't watch both boxes at once

The point is to save having to run a seperate feed from the dish to a box, instead you run a seperate feed from the loop out on the box, but its crap for purpose.. The only real useful purpose for it is if you have two boxes sitting next to eachother in same location and only use either one or the other at a time.

Like I said, if you want boxes in seperate rooms then the way to do it is individual feeds from the dish into that room.

If you want a simple way for getting the Video output of your F3 to another TV in another room then you might want to consider using a Wireless AV Sender.

You can get an RF Modulator off ebay for example & that can the send the signal around the house at the same time.

RF Modulator Convert Scart Phono to TV Aerial RF Coax | eBay

Hope i haven't broken any rules posting that link.

I have used these on various boxes that have no RF out on them & they work pretty well.

I dont think that paticular moulator will allow you to remote control the channels from the other location TV's.. An RF Modulator setup that would allow for using a magic eye costs around 50 quid.. Analog RF TV signal is the worst quality you can achieve, I guess it dont look too bad on an old 14" Portable CRT if thats what you have in the other rooms, but on a modern HD LCD telly it would look awful...
