openbox s11 no internet connection

my mate has a openbox s11 and the ethernet port is dead. when i put a ethernet cable into it it doesnt blink lights or anything iv tried using different ethernet cables but no. its completely dead.also did a factory reset but still no luck. could someone help me plz . thanks

Check the pins aren't bent or something in the port.

no lights sounds dead tbh though just in case check dchp setting ? Other than that get a usb wifi dongle the one with the ariel seam the way to go

i had same problem on my s10,i unscrewed the box took out the lan and 1 of the pins was bent i straightened it,it worked but every now and again goes off think i need a NEW LAN,its only 1 screw very easy to take out.

Hi

The S11 is different, the lan is soldered on the motherboard so cant be replaced unless you go to the trouble of desoldering it so its too much bother really.

Also not all S10`s has the replaceble lan.

i have opened the box and the lan is soldered on to the motherboard and all the pins are connected.
