F3 Sound dropping out every 15 seconds when recording

The Sound is dropping out every 15 seconds when recording, i also notice it says 'device speed too slow' ocasionally when my usb stick is plugged in doing nothing, its flashing as if its being read?

Is the F3 just not powerful enough? or maybe the read write speed of the usb, though i have tried a few which do the same..?

You would be better recording to Hard Disk. Most Memory sticks should be fast enough for recording SD content, but only the fastest and more expensive memory sticks will be any good for recording HD channels. A hard disk would have no problem.

Turn off the time shift function then a usb stick can cope with it, much better to get an external drive though as they work no problem even with the time shift on

Now, the record function does not let me set timer, PS record is not highlighted, so i cannot set timer record?

Its not highlighted on mine either just permantly set to no and i have no problem setting the timer and recording

To do the timeshift, Menu - Multimedia - PVR setting then change timeshift to off

If its not highlighted. how do you record then?
