    Skybox F3 total begginer !

    Hello everyone !

I just got a skybof F3 today but it came with UK channels and no satellite list. I would like to know how can I install Hotbird.
Also it would be great If you can show me how to update the box, where to get the firmware etc... I have never use a skybox or similar satellite before so I am a total beginner. Any advices of how to use the skybox would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance !

Have you got a motorised dish or static dish aligned for Hotbird? If you've only got a Sky dish pointing at 28.2e then you'll only get the UK channels.. You dont really need to update firmware, it should work fine out of the box...

Help with getting Subscription channels wont normally be available on this forum as its not allowed to discuss it, but Google will help you find other forums where such discussions may be permitted.

Thank you for the quick response. I have a static dish aligned with hotbird and I want to see italian channels. When i open UK channels a message pops up saying 'no signal'.

Ok, so within your Box satellite list you need to manually add a satellite, call it Hotbird, and the position is 13.0e..... Then in antenna setup you need to set LNB to Universal 9750-10600... Motor settings off, diseqc off... Then do a blind scan for channels on Hotbird.
