Skybox F3 HD - Changing channels through http

Hi,

I've been using DM800 HD clone and it has died and now I'm looking for a replacement box.

I'm looking at the Skybox F3 HD now and I have a question:

I was thinking of using it as a set-top-box and I don't like using the infrared thingy that is slow and often brakes.

I had this setup on my old DM800HD box and it worked great.


I'm wondering if it is posible to change channels through the network interface on Skybox F3 HD box.

No, you wont be able to do that...

The IR remotes on these boxes work fine, just as good as anyother IR remote controlled device.. And if a replacement/spare remote is ever needed they're only about a fiver...

Try one of these mate, sky f3 is just an openbox no epg on it, this box has full crossepg etc plus the added spark which keeps getting better.

That's notmbad for an enigma 2 receiver. That is if enigma 2 is fully functional?

Which chipset does it use? If only you get enigma2 receiver for around ?60-70 it would carve into the openbox/skybox market.

It uses the same images as the amiko 2 boxes 7162 board.

thats a decent enigma uk image auto bouquets etc on it, or you can just use the spark which a new update is due out soon as the crossepg is still buggy.

for 89notes worth splashing out the extra 30quid, you can stream with it using androiddreamer etc on enigma plugins etc or use webtv or opera browser,3g dongle etc on the sparkside. Box does loads for the 89notes.
