Openbox X3 - scrambled channel woes

Hey. My dad has an openbox X3 at home and I really liked it, so decided to get one myself. I took it round to his to set it up, but im having trouble unscrambling channels on it.

This is my first time doing anything like this, but Im pretty sure ive done everything right after reading up on it on this forum.

In a nut shell, I can get $ channels in short spurts - they work for 20 seconds, then scramble again, then work for 20 seconds, then scramble. I have the DCHP setting turned off.

My first thought was that it has to be the sealions - Ive got 7 active on there at the moment, but only about 3 of them continuously stay online. The rest flirt between login and online continuously.

The other thing that confuses me is that when I turn on the box, It always says "moving dish....". I dont have a dish that moves anyway, and when I plug my dads box in it does no such thing!

Id like to look at my dads settings and just go from there, but the person he bought the box off passworded it.

I know you cant discuss sealions here, but if anyone thinks this may be my problem then please drop me a hint. If anyone thinks Ive missed a setting somewhere else, or can explain why my box always says "moving dish" then Id be really appreciative of a little direction.

Cheers for any help in advance

disconnect some of those lines and try using 2 or 3... if they are free ones you find on sites around the net then they will be crap. they come from overloaded systems and probs be around hop 10 they are shared on that many times
to stop the moving dish go into sattellites setup and turn off the motor..
If it isn't broke, don't try fixin it..!!!
