    skybox f3 fist impressions

I'm new to sat game but as I moved into house with a sky dish installed I thought I'd take a plunge with skybox f3.I found it incredibly easy to set up (although firmware was preinstalled) and after putting in my password I wirelessly connected straight away to vermin superhub. It was easy to put in a server and I was up and running with all channels. However I found the wireless connection caused lots of freezing and sticking so I stuck in a lan cable to the router (which also connected straight away) and this made a great improvement.
The hd is great and user interface and remote control are very good.Have yet to try recording to usb (which I will now be able to do after freeing up usb port)

hi mate im looking into buying a sky f3 box for my folks, they have dish and sly sub ect. To get this box to work i take it from what i have read you will require the lan connection, dish, sealion and the preinsatlled box, is there nothing else to download into the box, is it just hook up and go from there??? do the boxes glitch much even with the direct cable from the router?? any advice appreciated on the box thanks

for a start they wont need no sly sub!!-just dish and feed
some boxes on market have channel list and image pre installed-check before u buy.I didnt even need to do a channel search on mine they all came on straight away
u will of course need a gift but cant talk about that here-some have got one with them
i do get some slight freezing even with lan but i suppose it depends what your willing to put up with-and also how good your server is

ok mate that sounds good, well they already have the basic sly sub so it wont matter. well they had a kv a780 before they moved and i take it you will know about the odd glitch with them and it didny bother them so i dont reckon this box can be any worse so sounds good. yeah i am going to ask if the box comes preinstalled and with channel list, also the gift? this sounds like the ideal box for them, easy set up. thanks for your info mate

                      Hi

A bit of advice derry1962 or anyone else thinking of buying.

Dont buy with a preinstalled "gift" off fleabay as you will find the "gift" factor will soon stop after you have bought it, well thats what a few people have reported.

                      Regards
