    Openbox s10/11 & f3 firmware

    Hi All,

Quick question - I have used Openbox s10/s11 for myself and family members but looking to switch some to f3 now. I have done a bit of reading and my understanding is that the F3 and S11 models use different firmware but am I correct in saying that I can still use the same channel lists for both once the correct firmwares have been installed?

    Thanks!

You are correct. You will have to rename the favorites once the list is installed.

The box you buy will already have the correct firmware on it, so no real need to mess with that... Yes, you can use the same channel lists..

Going from the S10/11 to an F3 isnt a massive upgrade. Sure the F3 can support wifi and has youtube access, but the basic functionality is much the same as the old boxes... So its worth thinking about, is it worth buying new replacement boxes when they aint gonna be much different to the old box being used.

Sorry, what I meant was the next boxes I order I'll switch to F3s. Am I correct in saying then that if I dump the TP_PROG.DBS files from the s11 with my custom channel list then I should be able just to install it in the f3 with its factory firmware pre-installed? Cheers for the help
