skybox m3 problem with some frequencies

    hi,
I received my new skybox m3 today and after setting it up, some of the frequencies have 10% signal strength while the others have 76%
Because of that, some of the channels aren't working. example being Sky sports 1 , 2 , animal planet etc

In TP LIST, frequencies such as 10743MHz 22000Ks/s H has signal quality 10% and signal intensity 45%
    whereas 10729MHz 22000Ks/s V has signal quality 76% and signal intensity 87%.

there are many frequencies which arent working. I am using my sky disk... its a round grey coloured sky dish which was fitted by sky about 7-8 years ago.I had the exact same issue which my original sky box provided by sky aswell. Problem started about a year ago. but i always thought it was something wrong with the digi box.

Any one have any ideas what could be wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Many Thanks

Have you tried putting an up to date channel list on your box? If you have then the problem could be your LNB may not be in the right position, from what you say you're not getting Horizontal polarisation frequencies.. Have a look at a neighbours LNB angle on the arm, and compare it to yours.

          Great! Thanks for your reply!
you're right.. i just checked and its all the horizontal frequencies which are not working! I will give it a go and remake the end of the cable and also try to angle the arm!
Thanks for your help! really appreciate it

edit: channel list is up to date.. i'm currently using AJ's sky uk channel list. he posted the most up to date channel list last week.

Dont try and move the arm, you probably just need to twist the LNB around a little in the clamp, or whatever it is on your paticular LNB for setting correct skew...

I've tried moving the lnb and also the dish but no luck! .. i've managed to improve the vertical strength by 1% but the horizontal one hasnt improved.
could it be something wrong with the lnb?

                    However,

did you not take note of the answer given in that thread ?
