Are you selecting "ALi Gen NoCAS" as the import type?

You need to sort them from actual full list of channels (Ctrl-F1). Just move channels around from this full list.

Then export as per instructions and once exported then import back to Skybox/openbox or back into MediaBox. it should be in order you have moved.

NB: Although moving channels around (ie sort) is shown on the full channel list, it's not updated in the favourite list at this time. This must be a bug and I have just updated opening post with this bug.

I have used this program and put the channels in favorites. These results stored on USB. file loaded via USB stick back in openbox (a S9) and (a S10). Then the boxes do nothing else reboot. These boxes will not come online! With null and Around Upgrade!!! Two boxes broken by this program!

Are you sure you followed the instructions for importing/exporting, or maybe tried to manually add/change channel details (don't mean just move channels or add them to other favourites) because no one else has had problems and I personally use a S10 and F5 without any problems.

I ask this as I recently tried manually adding channels with frequency info (taken from KoS website) and I found box occasionally would reboot. I then just used latest channel list and just moved channels around and my box was ok. I put this down to possible typo when manually adding a channel which presumably then didn't exist and box got confused and rebooted!!!

Do they keep rebooting or only when trying to view or scroll through the channels?
Which channel list do you use?

I get it to work for me everytime. This includes changing the favourites content and the numerical order that they appear within their category. Firstly, I reorder the All Channels list using drag and drop. I then right click and modify a particular channel which opens the properties of it. At the bottom of this list I tick and untick the appropriate favourites group number i.e if the particular channel is in the Regional Section and I want to move it to the Entertainment section then I untick no.15 and put a tick in no.1 and then click ok. I then also change the same property of the channel that I am replacing/swapping. After doing this I then use the Favourites Display option at the top menu of the MediaBox editor and reorder the numerical order of my favourites list using drag and drop. I then export as explained by bbb_uk in his great tutorial. What I have noted is that while I can swap favourites about just by only modifying their properties the MediaBox Editor will not save them in numerical order within their category unless they have been reordered firstly in the All Channels category.

I know it's a pain, it must be a bug!

I did notice this a little while ago and put a comment concerning this in my first post. Hopefully this will be fixed in a future update.

Despite it not being perfect, it's still easier to use than other editors I thought.

I am trying to change the default audio track on MTV+1 from the current 2307 to 2358.

If I select modify, then double click on 2358 in the audio PID box, I can then tick the Default box & press OK. The asterisk is now placed against 2358. I press OK in the Modify Channel box. I then export as per the instructions in the first post, but when I reload the list, the change isn't made. The audio has defaulted back to 2307.

                    What am I doing wrong?

I just had a go out of curiosity and it saved the changes for me. Did you modify it from the All Channels list like I did or did you select it from the Favourites list? One other thing that I did before I made it the default was to drag the 2358 pid to the top of the list. Not sure if that made any difference though.

It was that which made all the difference.

Out of interest, I simply dragged it to the top of the list only (without even selecting default). After exporting & re-importing, it was automatically selected as default.

I didn't even think of dragging it up the list until you mentioned it!

                        Cheers.

p.s. I was modifying it from the "All Channels" list.

TBH you've surprised me. I initially thought it was because you was modifying the wrong list . I'm not even sure why I dragged it up the list in the first place. You'd think that ticking it as the default would have been all that was needed. I'm just glad that I remembered to mention it to you in my post. Thanks for letting us know.

Thanks for that info, I will put a comment in my OP.

I noticed just then that if you make another audio pid the default and ok it and view channel properties again that what you selected as default is still the default so I'm thinking maybe the export feature doesn't export the correct default audio pid and itself just defaults to whatever is first in list of audio pid.

I have an issue exporting with MediaBox, same as in all the other utils that work exactly like this one. I export, choose ali no cas. Choose not to export only the selected channels and then an error pops
" The maximum number of allowed transponder has been exeeded! (1000)"
and of course no file is written.

What satellites do you use, is it just 28.2 and/or others as I believe that message means you have more than 1000 channels and Openbox/skyboxes I'm sure didn't like more than 1000 channels.
