Hi just wondering if anyone can help me out a little. I've recently got a skybox F3 and I've set it up with AJ's channel list and everything picture wise is great but... When I'm watching something now there is an audio drop pretty much every 30 seconds or so for around half a second. Any idea's what will be causing it? My F3 is connected to my router via homeplugs could it be them that are causing the slight drop? Is there a way to set the box to have buffer if that's what the drops are caused by?

If you're watching a FTA channel then the internet isn't needed so if it only happens when watching a $ channel then possibly but I'd have thought you would have pic problems like the odd glitch (slight pic freeze).Comment

Thanks Steve I'll try that tomorrow.
bbb_uk the picture doesn't freeze or stutter at all apart from the odd time when I've been pressing the epg and info buttons back to back trying to see what's on. I appreciate the responses though guys I'll update after switching off the TS abilityComment

No problem, it was getting on my nerves as well. I originally thought it was an issue with my line as the sound only dropped on encrypted channels.
Its a shame to loose the pause and rewind facility and I can confirm that updating the firmware didn't make a difference, if anything the more recent fw introduced horrendous lip sync issues so I reverted back.
Im using an old laptop hard drive in a cheap eBay USB caddy, I don't know if using a better drive would sort the issue or whether its one of the F3's quirks.Comment

I'm using a WD My Passport USB3 mate and get the same issues and my sister used a powered harddrive with the same issues.. It seems to be the timeshift function. No problem, it was getting on my nerves as well. I originally thought it was an issue with my line as the sound only dropped on encrypted channels.

I havent tried it on a lower timescale though.
Another way to pause kind of is to press record instead of pause you can then rewind to the point of pressing record whilst the program is still recording.Comment
