Wierd F3 Hdmi problem

Hi

A friends just bought an f3 this week and he has a wierd problem wth his box.

He bought it round mine to set it up for him and I connected it up straight out of the box and it wouldnt work on my hdmi1 port that I use with my dm.

I changed cables and still same so I tried hdmi2 and pic came on but kept going off every few sec and same with hdmi3 BUT works perfect on hdmi4.

What could be the reason for this.

dodgy port on box as stated up get it replaced

Yes I've had dodgy HDMI ports but in most cases the lead wasn't pushed right home because the port was a tight fit.

Seems like its the hdmi faulty to a degree even at friends house it will not work on one of his tv ports but works on 2nd one....... why does it work on one and not the other and if it eventually goes t*ts up can it be repaired.

Could it be dry joints or summat as like I say works perfect on 2nd of his 2 ports on telly but not the other one similar to mine where it dindt work on 3 but works fine on 4th, why would it work on one and not the others.
