    openbox x3 help needed!!!

    my openbox Display screen on openbox is very faint, can't get picture onto tv, Ethernet plug at rear of box still light flashes this all happened when i up-dated the channels.

    do you think it needed a null modem cable flash.
    also how can i get my gift line out of the box if i have no display on screen???

      If your box is booting up you can use the X3 Lan Tool to copy your gift but you will need the ip address of the box. If it is booting ok then you can find the ip from your routers information pages.

          If its completely offline then you probably do need to flash with null modem cable.. You probably wont be able to recover the line from the box, flashing via rs232 port will wipe the box clean...

          Its always a good idea to have a system dump backup to fall back on if things go wrong..

              is there any way i can extract the image out of the box and then extract the gift out of the image

                  you could try pressing the v format button on remote a few times and see if picture becomes clear..
