hi , i'm new to this but after looking on here and reading some reviews i'm thinking about getting an openbox x5 reciever or a skybox f5 . any other suggestions would be welcome i'm on a budget of around ?100 , thanks...

Yeah the openbox x5 looks like the firmware is better in it
They are both around the same price.

In my opinion the X5 is a backward step.
The channel file format is totally different from any of the other skybox/openbox stbs.
The channel and favourite edit is also rubbish, the F3 is far more user friendly, with lots of info out there.

I agree.

If u didn't want F3, then F5 but with X5 you would have trouble with channel list editing as there doesn't appear to any that support it from what I know.
