    Newbie Help

    Hi

Im new to the sat scene but have experience of the old starview for vermin.

Im after knowing is the best budget box about the skybox f3?

Also can anyone point me in the direction by pm of course to a good stable line ?

Before i buy the box and line is the sat likely to head in the same direction as the vermin did by becoming expensive doorstops ?

    Thanks

    Advance

The Skybox F3 is probably the most widely used budget box, you'll be alright if you get one...

Washing Line? Argos... Or, if its to do with your box then you'll have to Google, strictly against forum rules to ask for or talk about them here...

Satellite has got a nice healthy shelf life in my opinion, simply down to the numbers doing and using...

No worries... Good Luck with Googling research, its all out there..

Word of advice, buy a box for around 50 quid and then get it doing what you want it to do yourself, dont be tempted by any box deals offering 12 months wotnots included, you'll certainly regret that...

Does the skybox and openbox use the same firmware, channel list etc?

              Thanks

Ive heard alot about these "package" deals. Maybe im silly but i ended up opting for one, im only a few days in granted but all seems well at the moment. I have contact details for if and when i need them......

What should i be expecting to happen in terms of regretting it?

They have different firmware, and other than the X5, channels lists are suitable for all.. I'd say you're best sticking with a Skybox model...

Read the moans & groans within the Starview & Kryptview discussions in the CableTV section... Your gift could well become just as bad....
