hi all, just got a couple of question with regards to youtube plugin on skybox/openbox satellite receiver.

1] which model has youtube function?
2] and is the firmware compatiable with older receivers such as F3 or X3 receivers?

any info would be much appreciated.

The Skybox F3 and M3 has Youtube & You~~~~ on them... They are not plugins, they are features embedded in the firmware by the manufacturers software developers. There are no user installable plugins for Openbox and Skybox receivers as the boxes do allow you to do that sort of thing...

regarding skybox f3, i got one of these boxes and it does not seem to have youtube plugin/app.

or am i using old firmware? does the latest firmware have youtube?

i downloaded the latest firmware, youtube function dont seem to work.

works only once every 20 attempts and often resets the box. and only at 240p

They've been tweaking the firmware since they first introduced it, and it still aint right... Maybe the next firmware release will sort it out....

Not that I personally really care, my TV and Tivo has Youtube on them, so I just use the Skybox for what its good at...
